Star Trek Enterprise - watching Carbon Creek Episode where three Vulcans including T'pol's great grandmother survive in 1950's coal mine country. Velcro was given to humans. Well the moment was when the three Vulcans are discussing humanity and the critic says, Humans are represented by, "alcohol, frozen fish sticks and preparing for nuclear annihilation". I laughed even though I had seen it before.
Bablyon 5, Delenn to 'can't remember which commander' - "Humans build communities." Explaining that Minbari, Narn, etc would build outposts for themselves. And then Humans are frustrated when they can't live up to their own expectations. Or something to that effect.
Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship - movie. When they were escaping the Ringwraithes and crossed the small river to safety - the flood comes in as the Rw's attempt to cross. And the foam and wall of water water appeared for a moment as a stampede of white horses. Soo out of the book and as I so as I imagined I almost stood up and applauded mid movie in the theater.
