Being 24 years young, I have learned a lot about worrying about your children and family. My parents constantly worry about my sisters, my brothers, and myself. Telling me about how they only want the best for us and how they want us to be happy. 2 years ago I received the greatest gift when my son was born and ever since I worry about him all the time. I worry about him choking, falling down, everything. I also worry about my 8 year old step son constantly. To this day the best advice I was ever given was when I was only 13 years old, and it was from my grandmother. She looked me in the eyes and said, "If there is one thing you learn if life, I hope it's that you'll never stop worrying about your family, your children, parents, or even your friends."

To this day those words stick in my mind, because they are the truest words that have ever been spoken to me.

8, huh?

That's just a couple years into the fun part.

The best is yet to come.

NEVER underestimate a boy's ability to injure himself, either.

Odds are, if you think he doesn't know where "it" is, he's already had his hands on "it" for at least an hour!

Let me know if you have any crises - odds are I've been there - 5 times already.

Oh they both know where "it" is, and both my 8 year old and my 2 year old have found new ways to injure themselves. But I enjoy every minute of parenthood.

"It" being whatever it is you wanted to hide, that is.

For a while there, my 2nd Nephew had his own coffee cup and private table in the local ER. The first time his brother hurt himself, and we took HIM in, everyone was astounded to learn that "L" had a brother - they all went for him out of instinct!

If god created everything, than he created me. That means he deliberately created me, to not believe. He had to have known before he made me whether or not I would believe or not. So he created me and he created hell, then he made it so it would be a certainty that some people, that he created, would go to hell and burn forever.

Why not just make us all believers if that is what he wants? If he wants loyal minions in heaven worshiping him for all time? Why not just make some spirits that do that? Why this other ridiculous game of life, where god already knows the outcome? So if you are right and god created everything? Then it was never up to me or you to decide if we end up in heaven or hell.

This can be very true and very insightful, but others do believe that everyone does go to heaven and that hell doesn't truely exist. However, if you really think about it... when something terrible or bad happens in your life you feel like you're in hell. So maybe the true test of getting to heaven is to first walk through the gates of hell.

It could be a matter of faith. I go to church regularly. For me, it's a social thing and not because I have faith in God.

I think the real problem many of us face is that those that really strongly believe are trying to force their beliefs and practices on others. The current big issue is Gay Marriage. I have yet to hear a real reason this right should be denied to Gay citizens. We pay our taxes too.

It wasn't too many years ago that the same or similar arguments were put forth to prevent inter-racial marriage. From my vantage point, the group in favor of Gay marriage are not trying to abrogate anyones' rights. The group against are most certainly not only trying to do that, but also have an official scapegoat, or second class citizen with first class citizen responsibilities.

Maybe cretins like that Topeka, KS guy really are gay and can't get a man to take interest in him since he is so ugly, both physically and mentally. Is it not wonderful what his mis-interpretation of the Bible has done for him. Now if only he'd stop protesting so much and let others live their lives in peace. If there really is a God and Heaven, I hope they record his reaction to being told how he failed to understand what the Bible really states so we can all see it.
