The feeling of relief when it was over was incredible. Until that point, I was frightened and confused (am I doing the right thing, etc.). Now, 4 months later, I have no regrets. It was the right thing for me.

I am saddened that some of us had to go through such a long (and unnecessary) recovery process. Helsinki reports that he will take 6 to 18 months to heal properly.

i haven't been castrate physically yet- (4 more days!) but have been chemically castrated for 2 1/2 years. It orginally seemed to me that my castration was mostly a fantasy from a sexually submissive point of view. I've seen several pics of someone else being castrated and masturbating right before the operation began or during it when the final testicle was tied off and ready to be snipped so that when he coming for his last time as a complete male, the testicle was snipped free in concert with his ejaculation. I imagined what I would do in that situation.

But now after being chemically castrated for so long, the actual operation has lost its allure. Now it seems more like a strictly mechanical process to remove some non-functioning testicles. I've started on testosterone replacement so my balls have been superceded already. I'm a bit disappointed that it doesn't seem to be as big an event as I imagined years ago but reality does not often match up to fantasy.

I'm finding less and less of interest on the EA now that I've lost my balls. Sex is just something that I used to do.... Almost all of my various hangups (fetishes) are gone. It's wonderful!
