Kristoff, sounds like a good idea. However, until the end of the week there is no time for anything. Our Holiday Play at the Deaf School is still 8 hours per day of rehearsals plus my private teachings. At least I have an ex lover who now thinks he is straight living here who can fix dinner. We do the dad/son thing now.

There's actually a financial group that calculates the cost of the 12 days gifts every year, giving you a rough (if fun) look at inflation and the status of the economy.

Hope you like it. :)

(It's roughly $19 grand US this year, for those who want to know but don't want to click the link. An increase of 3.1% over last year.)

Thanks for posting this, it is a keeper

Apart from audio recording, there was a wonderful televised version, perpetrated, I think by Wendy Toye. Both were broadcast by Auntie Beeb.

One point that was missed in the letter is that the song makes clear that the gifts were repeated, so that by the end, there were 12 partridges in a pear tree, 22 turtle doves, etc. etc.

LOL

SunLord, glad you liked it. I, also, laughed until I cried even years after first reading it.
