The first item I read every morning in the San Francisco Chronicle is a small piece of the column by Leah Garchik. It's always centered below her name and has a colored background to stand out from the rest of the page. It's titled Public eavesdropping, and includes a brief comment overheard in a public place, who submitted the item, and something about who said it and where. Today's contribution was
"I feel like I'm dying of heat castration"
One preteen boy to another,
overheard in San Anselmo by
Marco Baroz

Well here's one for you, "It's so cold I'm freezing my balls off"!
I know, you've heard it before.
