Paolo thank you for all you have done for all of us. The EA has been such a help to my life and part of it stems from the fact I have always found it a safe place to post and share. I know much of the work you have performed behind the scenes has helped make it so. I wish you the best and I will miss you. Please take care of yourself and if I can ever help let me know.

While it saddens me to hear the news of your leaving, I can understand your reasons for doing so. Priorities change and you must do what you feel is best for yourself. Know that you have been a great contributer for many years and I believe the ones you leave in charge are very much capable of continuing the legacy and spirit of this site which makes it such a eunique place. I wish you the best in your future endeavours and for your involvement in this community.

The forum has changed since I first visited here. I am looking for a job. I have too much spare time to linger here on threads that do not merit much attention here. I find it hard to resist posting in the political threads.

The main theme of the forum, however, was once important to me. I suppose that I just exhausted what I needed to learn. I never thought that more than a few of us ever visited the political section. I guess I was wrong.

I think that I need to resist posting there. I very much appreciate what Paolo gave us.

Sorry that the political discussion got out of hand and I just wanted to stress that I was (quite rightly) very angry at the situation (and agree with you 100 percent about that religion thread by the way!) but that none of that anger was directed at you. So I'm very sorry if it seemed that way and really hope this isn't the only reason you are taking a break from EA.

You would definitely be missed, and I certainly don't want to leave on what was last said. You are a wonderful person, and a great friend of many years and deserve far better than that. I'm really sorry.

But I can understand your reasons for leaving too. Take care, best of luck for the future, and there will always be people here if you ever change your mind or want to drop by for a visit.

I am no prophet. I look at myself as a lowly servant. But I have this to add, not just for Paolo but for all of us who sometimes become discouraged. "You can get too much of a good thing." A balanced life is what is most important. Spend some time here looking at the posting but also doing other hobbies with your life. For years the government has told us to eat a balanced diet. The rest of our life needs to be balanced too. Paolo, please don't leave completely. I think we all need your occasional insight into things some of us know nothing of.

Paolo, you have been a voice of reason in this forum. You will be sorely missed. For whatever it is worth, I have never thought that politics belongs in this forum. I belong to a lodge in which one of the things we must affirm in the initiation is that we will never introduce any matter of a political or religious nature into the meetings. AMEN ! Nothing is more divisive.

Politics people can do without, it is a past-time that can get all-consuming, and in reality, it doesn't amount to much unless it affects someone directly.
