Lately my desire to be sexually and/or romantically involved with a guy has sharply increased.
The problem is that I look male, and I only desire to be with a guy as a girl. It is unlikely that I could find a straight guy willing to see me and treat me as a girl, so my only chance is with a gay guy.
There have been times where the desire is so strong that I have considered pretending that I am a gay man in order to have the chance to be with a guy.
However, I will never be able to do this because it would not be fair to the guy and could cause him a lot of pain. I don't want to hurt anyone this way, so I don't do it. I guess I'll just have to wait.
It was suggested that I try a bi guy, but I think the possiblity for pain still exists. He would probably be interested in me as a man and could be quite hurt when he discovers I am someone else.
For now I can only dream.

sweetie... what did we say when we were chattig earlier? This is silly... bi guys are your best bet. All my boyfriends have been bi, and theyre no different than any other guy. Just they are fine with us the way we are.
A word to the wise... avoid tranny chasers. They wanna fuck trannies and leave. Usually no interest in a REAL relationship. They wanna experiment, get their rocks off, and run... lest they get caught. BAD! You will get hurt if you find someone who looks for "people like us". Been there myself. It's painfull. Try to find someone sweet, and normal... if they push sex fast, because youre transsexual, and wanna see what it is like... beware!

Maybe I'm just a big softee (or just idealistic!) but when you find the right person, they will see you for the wonderful person you are. True love is long-suffering, (I should know, I had a girlfriend who tolerated more than any woman should have to!)
And (if you can forgive the comparison!) It's like a shop window. And maybe the problem at the moment is that the product on sale looks slightly different to the one currently on display. But they're both very wonderful, and it won't be like this forever!
In the meantime, it's simply a case of finding the right-minded sort of person who can accept you as you are. And the Internet is an excellent tool!
But like transgirl said, beware of the internet stalkers. Even as a not-very-attractive eunuch, it's surprising how many guys have tried to get intimate; just because of my condition (not because of who I am), which is sick. So in a weird way I can empathize.
But you are a lovely person, and someday - probably when you least expect - you'll find that right someone.

Your instincts are serving you well. Your desire to not cause others pain is noble/admirable. Plus, love can be very dangerous once ignited.
