One Flesh or New Life by Helenus is a very interesting and well plotted short story. It's not thrown together with the conclusion obvious by just reading the title as are 80 per cent of stories in this site. Yes it's about castration and also about sex change. But the author leads the reader gently down the trail to the ultimate choice a man must make. The three main characters are decent people who care about each other and care about their patients. There is no hint of sadism or preversion. The author is well above that. Renee's move from having his balls given over for pure love of two women (His wife and his mentor) and his eventual change over to a woman(surgically) is quite natural and believable for the reader. Well done!
