However, most of you are more interested in the cats then in my life, and I cannot blame you. Right now the four cats are napping. Czarina is curled up in her heated kitchen windowsill cup. Old Man Conway is curled up in his heated harem windowsill cup. Both of these windows face west, and right now the sun is shining on their backs. Max and Hestia are on heated pads in the living room.
Conway has become even more affectionate, and has dropped all pretenses. He will sit on the chair next to me and demand petting. Max continues to groom Hestia on my bed every morning., as I lie there getting ready to get up (which may take an hour or two…see comment on Acedia above).
Someone commented on my having eight litter boxes for 4 cats. Well, it reduces stress on the cats to have several clean litter boxes handy, without having to share with another cat. Happy cats, happy Guardian. With the deposits spread out over 8 boxes, I only have to scoop once a day now. The 5 boxes in the Harem are used the most, the one in my bedroom is used the least, and the 2 in the living room get moderate use. Reminder: I am a bachelor, so I can get away with litter boxes in plain sight.
