Other effects of castration

Post by bejerpes (imported) »

Hey all,

I'm interested in being castrated, but was wondering if anyone here could weigh in on other effects of castration, besides to sex drive. I'm primarily wondering if it would affect my interest or performance in my other hobbies, which are generally fast paced "adrenaline" sports, such as wingsuit flying or downhill mountain biking. Anyone that has been castrated have any input on this? I'm guessing supplemental testosterone would reduce any effects, but I'd just like to get a little more information. I plan on talking to a doctor (probably Dr. Arnkoff) in a few days to see what his input on this topic would be.

Thanks!

I like you am a bit of a sport lover although the closest I came to wing suit flying was hang gliding.

Most of the early part of this year I have been suffering from low T and the first thing that suffers is motivation.

I found I was okay when I got going but my strength was starting to suffer a bit.

Also some of you sports require pretty fast reactions so you don't want to f@@k up when downhill mountain biking for instance, another effect of low T is brain fog that may effect your mental agility.

When summer arrived over here and I was more physically active my T level would rise a couple of points but not stay there.

A few months ago I made the decision to start T.R.T for me its working out well.

I think that some form of hormone therapy would also have to be part of your way forward.

This could involve sticking a syringe in your bum cheeks every week or so (like I now have to do).

That said I still weight train most afternoons and I will do a 6 mile run today at 58 perhaps I'm living proof that "yes" what you are asking is quite feasible however be prepared to do the work to keep your body chemistry in check.

BTW its well worth spending a lot of time on the internet researching T.R.T as most docs out there don't seem to know what they are doing.

One of my experiences as a no T eunuch was the effect of adrenaline after castration. Of course with HRT this may not be an issue. The fight or flight mechanism would cause lower back pain at the kidney area where the adrenal glands are located. The pain would increase and travel up my spine and create shortness of breath. I would need to take deep breaths to calm and reduce the pain. It can still happen but I have learned to avoid situations that would trigger that reaction.

I first became aware when I was telling someone no. I had so much pain I thought I was having a heart attack. My previous situation was one where a 'no' was met with physical violence, threats or weapons. Any type of exaggerated response to a social reaction would cause the same physical response. Of course I avoid those situations. I also avoid any situations that triggers fear such as my fear of heights.

I tried to speak with my doctors about this reaction and of course they could not believe such a thing could occur. One did prescribe nitro glycerin tablets to reduce the pain of the reaction to fear. They were not able to understand that a man who had been abused for decades and now lacking in T could have any adverse reaction to adrenaline. There had been some studies about women who had been abused long term and the effects that abuse had on their circulatory system.

So if you are going to use HRT and have had no prior negative response to an adrenaline rush you will probably be okay. If you are planning the no T route I would proceed with caution.
