It has been well over a year since I have posted anything about the funding of the Eunuch Archive. We have been fortunate in the past to have had some generous donors who have kept us afloat. It is time to renew the call for support – this place is paid for by you through your donations, large and small.

Our costs include our server fees (we actually are running 7 virtual servers), PO Box fee, licensing fees for software, and domain fees. No one gets paid for working here, so we’re getting by there.

For those in the US, we are incorporated as a not-for-profit educational organization – that means we are tax-deductible.

Donations of all sizes are welcome. If it fits your budget, it works for us. We prefer donations in US$, but will take other currencies, as well – there are fees for conversion.

Remember, between the forums and the fiction archive, we get over 20 million hits a month. That is lots of bandwidth. We run on 7 virtual servers - they cost us over $108 per month. Add to that the costs of domains, server software licensing, vb licenses. postal box rental - $200 per year. There are other items that add in. Often times Talula or I will cover them, but the majority must come from the people who use this site or it will not be here.

I didn't get a chance today to go the east side station and check the mailbox. However the PayPal box was full. Thank you to JCat, WDN, and JockItch for their generous contributions toward keeping the EA online!

It has been a good day today.

This morning I pulled two contributions out of the mail box over at the east side station. We heard from Jesus (A) and from a donor who wished to be anonymous - both very generous.

This evening I checked the PaPal account, and we had heard from another generous member, theemptyone., who also helped pay our way!

I was on a mission to the Homo Depot to get a plumbing part (The Princess broke the crapper) when I stopped by the east side station. I found a letter from Harveywrwh, along with a generous money order. Thanks Harvey, much appreciated!
