VEEP -- a new HBO series

VEEP

premiered last night. It's a 30 minute very dark comedy on a woman VP of the USA who is really not patterned after Sarah Palin.

(and I watched last night to be sure) The character is different and not a caricature.

However, le me say this about the series...

I've worked in government offices all my career and I've never seen an office that dysfunctional. I've met all those people but not in one office.

It's a comedy really trying to hard to be funny. Not that it isn't laugh worthy. I also cringe at it because normally, people aren't that stupid 24/7, nor that sarcastic 24/7.

As the kids would say

Julia Louis D. suffers the Seinfeld curse.

She should be happy with the residuals and retire.

I watched a part and thought the writers let the show down.
