Thank you for the in-depth article concerning castration. It was most enlightening! The medical and psychiatric community need to develop a more rational approach to people who wish to be castrated and not treat them all as persons who are psychotic. If professional medical and psychiatric persons won't treat men who want to be castrated in a safe, sanitary, and patient-oriented environment, there are some (males) who will try and castrate themselves or have someone else do it for them.

So, the medical and psychiatric community needs to develop a more open and patient-friendly atmosphere and provide quality surgical services to the males who want to be gelded.

Clearly Stanley Knives need to have better Warning Labels on them.

Wonder if he or his wife saved and framed the knife.

How sad that he flushed all down the toilet. Not that they could have been reattached, but at least tested and biopsied for cancer (and preferably saved for reference to tell people what NOT to do). Whew. He sure made a clean, complete cut. Those Stanley Knives are wicked.

As my own history shows, Stanley knives, hobby knives, scalpels purchased from local farm stores, didn't matter, when you want to castrate yourself, you'll find the knife to do it. In Sept. 97, I was so consumed with being castrated, I found an old kitchen knife and sharpened it until it was scary to look at. One morning shortly afterward, I woke up thinking about getting castrated again. So I went into a room near the garage and got to work. After scrubbing with alcohol, I sat down on a chair, trembling some, I had an electric frying pan and heated the knife. Then I pulled out my scrotum and pushed down the knife, it went right through it, which I didn't intend. I was surprised at how easily it cut through my tough scrotum. I can't remember if I had numbed myself or not, but I know I didn't feel much pain. Then I squeezed out my left testicle and started to cut the cord, that's when I felt pain, when it hit the nerve I stopped briefly, but kept going. Then I watched as my testicle fell to the floor, I was extremely pleased. But I didn't cut off the other one because my helper/on looker got sick. Anyway, that's what happens when you really want to be castrated, nothing seems to stop you, you'll use the sharpest tool you have available. NOTE: I did get a giant hematoma that took weeks to go down. I could have died from the experience and I'm not advocating that anyone follow my example. But that's what the compulsion of castration does to you.

Thankfully, Kimmel took the other one in 2006, though it wasn't working much.

He used a utility knife? D: Even with a new razor blade inserted I couldn't get one of those to slice through my scrotal skin. While a gross dissection scalpel waltzed through it like it was lukewarm butter.

Thanks Hash, That pretty much somes it up about the obsession to cut ones genitals off or castration or mutilation and modification. what an intense experience that must have been for you, And again, the obsession to do so.

Steve, you can't add pictures to this site, but you can add them to BME Enzine which supports the Eunuch Archive. Adding pictures to BME Enzine (www.bme.com) is easy. At the top of the page on their website, there's a tab entitled, "Add your pics" click on it and they'll walk you through the process. They'll actually assist you via email, if you ask them and you'll actually get a free subscription to their site for a month where you can access a lot of other pictures/stories etc.

After you click on the "Add your pics" tab, scroll down to #2 and click on "begin." Then if your pictures are on your computer, you can browse through them and upload them to BME. Then you simply send them out and that's it.

"Utility knives" are meant to open cardboard boxes. The steel in the blades is cheap and it will not hold an edge well if you can manage to get one with sharpening stone by hand. Most are pretty sharp until you use them one time. The edge on the blade slices but the back side is a square cut edge that will stop the blade from penetrating deeply. Besides that, they are rarely over an inch long. http://users.ameritech.net/knives/

IF you are serious about cutting yourself, (most are not subconsciously), it is not hard to do. The problem comes with dealing with the results of what you have done.

The best advice that I can give to you is DON'T DO IT!
