Its Butter

Now on the front page is a picture a good picture I might add of the most wonderful bowl of butter ever made, it is true it started out trying to be whipped cream which is in fact what butter is, whipped cream. Normally for butter you would just whip it but for whipped cream you add a little vanilla and sugar so this is sweet butter with just a hint of vanilla and goes wonderful on toast or muffins. I made some cinnamon rolls a few weeks after the party and we put some of that home made butter on them and OH MY were they wonderful. It has turned out so good and that it is actually cheaper to make your own butter then buy it at the store so at my house you will now be served, Proudly I say, home made real butter straight from heavy cream.

Pee?Yes!: There are two locally available brands of buttah that I like very much; One is made in deep South Texiz in Falfurrias and named for the town. Falfurrias was once so dairy-heavy that the high school teams are called "The Jersies" (Think cow, not shirt.)

The other brand is made for and marketed by the state's mega-supermarket chain, HEB. It's called European Style and is very like the REAL butter I've enjoyed on trips to Europe and England. Pricey, but rich and flavorful.
