Rainnnn, Glorious Raaaaaaiiiiiiinnnnn!

Post by FianceeUvBigGuy (imported) »

We here in South Texas are finally getting rain...lots of it, after a very prolonged dry spell. It's been raining here and all around us for a few days now and my beloved Canyon and Boerne (berr-knee) lakes are regaining some of their lost levels.

I have actually slept with my BR windows open over the past couple of nights, fans turning, so as to enjoy the wonderful smells and sounds of RAIN! Not to worry, O faithful lovers...Ash and I share a second story 2 BR apt. over BG's carriage house. Besides, we both sleep with handguns in neat little holsters suspended, unseen, from the top of our mattresses at the head end. There are also motion detectors and security cams covering the wraparound balcony.

The heat has broken, at least temporarily, and we'll not go above the low 80s(F) today.

I got up to tinkle, noted that a solid rain was falling, straight down, so stayed up to savor it and a cup of tea (and a pastry, of course...maybe two,:D)

While the tea was abrew and the turnover warming I walked out of the French doors that lead from my BR to the balcony, all nekkid except for a baseball cap wherein most of my mane was tucked, and leaned out from beneath the overhang to feel the raindrops on my neck and shoulders...Nirvana!(though a bit chilly.)

There's no lightning so I may, post tea and snack, wander out to the pool and let my entire self be rained on as I lie on a chaise.

Just sharing my joy. Thanks for reading.

UPDATE:

Well, THAT was fun. I did go out and lie under the rain...and lasted three minutes. When I scurried and jiggled my way back upstairs I was able to admire a record crop of goosebumps in the full-length mirror

and my nipples could cut glass.

Ash(leigh) had just arisen and she is still laughing at me as she prepares more hot tea and watches me shivering in my heaviest bathrobe.

I rarely hear her utter an unladylike word ('cept during sex, and then it's "Oh dear, I fear that I'm arriving!" rather than "Lick me harder! I'm cominnnnnng!"...Believe that, do you?) but she has repeated the phrase "Fucking idiot!" and "Dumbass" several times between fits of laughter. She's easily amused I guess.

As of that weren't enough, in the darkened bedroom I donned mismatched animal slippers in order to warm my widdle feet...One Badger, one Skunk. She's made much of that too.

Worse yet, the rain has stopped. More on the way, I think.

Luv and Shivers,

Yoli

Not necessarily the brightest bahnahhhhnah in the bunch.

You gotta just love Ash, LOL.

But if it makes you feel any better, I to will go for a walk in the rain, NO Lightning, and so does my CAT, yes Rupert knows its just a bit of water so there is no harm, being outside is better then inside even if there is a little rain falling.

Ah-h-h-h-h!!! To run naked in the rain is absolutely one of the most glorious things you can do. Plus (rainwater) it's for your hair!!!

To be at the ocean's edge while it is raining is my fav.

Please, send rain to Southern California.

Will accept any rain, from Texas, Maryland or even Turkey.

Thank You

A guy named Leon Flick from Plush, Oregon took the idea of cutsie slippers even further.

http://www.leonflickcowboypoetry.com/poetryforsale.htm

He has a poem named Bullslippers. If I remember, it began when his sister gave him some animal slippers to keep his tootsie's warm during the Oregon winter. They were cute things with bull's heads. He got to admiring them so much that he decides he is going to wear them to the weekend dance at the Grange. (Yeah, I know. But this is cowboy poetry, not cowboy reality). So he is out bootscooting around the dance floors. Now those bullheads, being down there, could naturally look up his dance partners dress. They go into heat and most of the poem goes on about the havoc they wreak at the dance. Eventually animal control was called and he had to get his slippers neutered.

By the time he finished the poem, every individual in the room was doubled up laughing uncontrollably. I do not think I have heard anything so funny in my life.

I like snow, it makes it easy to follow the burglar's footprints. --FLO--

Well, rain or no rain. From what I have seen around here it would ALWAYS be unusually WET around Yoli, even in a drought ...

...if you get my drift...
