A beautiful song with outstanding visuals. Thank you for posting it. I will be passing on the link to some of my friends who will also enjoy it.
I was intrigued by the "spirit posts" on the path to the house. They look very much like those at the entrance to Korean villages. Do you know anything about them in "Russian" culture (which I know varies across the length of the country)?

I have never worked in Russia, but the guys I have talked to who have worked there say there is kind of a pervasive sadness to the culture. Of course, you find can find sadness in music from all over the world. Do you think melancholy is is part of the national character? Could it be caused by the climate?

Not attempting to answer the question but I recognise the phenomenon; it's reflected - even in translation - in Russian literature.
