Does anyone have info on the modern S&M lifestyle? I was wondering where it has it's roots. It seems they use alot of garb and toys from english horse riding. I wonder if bored english women, with nothing to do, utilized the tools at hand on their already disciplined husbands.

Any thoughts could help with this theory. :-\

I enjoy a little S&M from time to time. The irony is that I do not care for all the trappings, like leather vests and chaps, or riding crops. I prefer household implements, simple stuff that does the job. For me it is more about the intensity/interest levels of the players involved. IE: "You can put lipstick on a pig..." If the players are "playing", i dont enjoy myself as much as when there is some sincerity and commitment between the myself and the other person...

BDSM, S-M, whatever you wish to call it, I enjoy it greatly. I am fortunate to have a wife who, even if she doesn't totally understand it, tolerates my foibles and does mean and evil things to me that I love.

I enjoy greatly, sounding and catheter play, heavy cock and ball torture, genital play piercing, fisting, and flagellation. I have not found too many things that I am not willing to try.

That being said, I do have limits. I do not want to play in any way which is designed to cause permanent injury. We do our play piercing with proper hypodermic needles which are much safer than any improvised device. We use clean technique to reduce the risk of infection. We use safe words. When we are doing something quite risky, we discuss the scene before hand.

As an example, several years ago, I decided I wanted to experience having a large amount of sterile saline injected into each of my testicles. I researched this and found several men who claimed to have experienced this. I asked questions and found that four of them had actually had this done and one was a top who did it to all his bottoms. They all explained that using normal saline as used for IVs would work. None of them claimed it was safe, but all of the bottoms said they had taken large amounts of saline with not permanent ill effects. All of them said it was incredibly painful. All of them said it was a wonderful experience and would do it again.

The top told me his technique. He told me how to estimate the amount of saline that could be injected into each ball. I don't remember his formula, but it pretty much amounted to estimating the size of the testicle in cc. and injecting that much or less. He suggested trying to put the needle in so it would put the majority of the saline in the center of the testicle. He said not a single one of the men he had done this to (and he documented at least 30 for me) had any serious problems. Some were very sore for several days, but that was the worst.

I discussed this with my wife. She agreed to do it. I know she was not excited about doing this to me, but she was game. I got a small container of .9% saline for injection. The night we did this the first time, I drew 25 cc. each into two large syringes. I had put some 1 inch needles on the syringes which allowed my wife to pierce them into my balls at an angle and place the saline near the center. She put the needle in my right ball first. I asked her to go slow when she was pushing the saline in as I didn't Know if I could take it or how much I could take. When she had about 10 cc. in my testicle, the pain was incredible, but also absolutely wonderful. I let her shoot the rest in to me. I had her do the left ball the same way. My balls were so sore and so sensitive for the next twelve hours or so that it was more than I expected.

We did this a couple of more times. The next time, I determined that I could take as much as 60 cc. in each testicle. We had gone to the beach when we did this injection. I prepared two huge syringes and my wife injected me exactly the same way as before. I took the whole injection in each ball. The pain was excruciating, but exactly what I had expected and desired. Again, I had no ill effects.

The things in this example are: Research to find out the degree of safety in this extreme act. All agreed, it was not safe, but the risk was worthwhile. Sane: we did this without being under the influence of anything. Consensual behavior. We talked about it and agreed before hand. Those are key things.

Sorry to have gone on so long, but I think this is a good example of more intense S-M behavior done right.

One was named Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, and he would sign legal agreements with females to be there slave for a period of time, and that is where Masochism comes from. Sado comes from Marque de Sad who enjoyed torturing females during the french revolution, and marque de sad wrote down many of his torture stories.

As to being creative and using the tools at hand that is just human nature. However, governments also have a huge hand in the design and use of torture devices, and the United Kingdom use to be the leader.
