Every Simon fan on the boards (and off), click the link and read. A nice spin off that is highly entertaining and true to the spirit of Simon, with some good twists. Number one is great, 2, 3, and 4, are to be strongly anticipated (confession: I got advance issues).

Re: Ricky Visits America
In the next few days, Members will see, listed among New Stories, the title Ricky Visits America by Paolo. Take it from me, this story is a MUST.
With a touch amounting to genius, Paolo has brought together all the personalities from my Simon series heroes and villains alike in a complex web of plots and sub-plots, always amusing, frequently hair-raising, and at all times highly credible. Readers who are particularly interested in descriptions of how a boy becomes a boy-eunuch will not be disappointed.
The final nail-biting adventure and its sequel bring down the curtain on the exploits of Simon and his schoolmates in the best epic traditions. A great story by a great guy.

Re: Ricky Visits America
Wow! Its a fine thriller as we watch our heroes being stalked by all of the surviving villains from the long-running series. The villains are all done in in a very satisfactory manner by the end, concluding the Simon Saga.
Printed out in 12 point type with narrow margins, it runs over 100 pages! (I cant read that much on screen with my aging eyes.)

This should make any list of the Best of the Archive!

Re: Ricky Visits America
Good grief, Paolo... I can't say it any better than the folks above.
In the back of my mind, I always felt there was some kind of commonality between the themes and style of your stories, and those in the Simon arc. What a way to prove the point!
You have shown it before, of course, but I'm always just knocked OUT by the care you put into your work. Real, honest characters, strong acknowledgement of what readers of your genre would want to read, and plot, plot plot.
I regret only that I can't pay you for my 'copy' of this mini-novel. Thank you for an fantastic story and all the work that went into it, Paolo!
CvanD, thanks for starting this series, so long ago; I can only hope that this does not actualy 'bring down the curtain' on any future tales from this grand series!
