And so this means you shouldn't have a life? If you can't laff, why bother... My attitude has always been that it is none of my business what other people think of me; it is my life; do I like it and me? Keeping to essential social standards, Fuck the rest !
Kristoff, that's precisely my point. If ya cain't laugh at yourself you got some problems!
I just got sick and tired of being slam-dunked all the time. So, they win!

No they dont - they lose: humor, enjoyment, expansive character, joy, untightening of sphincters..... There will always be prudes out there - the "Well, I never...." crowd. They're too busy being proper to live life. I got little time for em.

I'm with the good sister. Keep 'em coming! Even though I grimace at one now and then, they're great for the soul. We ALL need humor in our lives and this board has been a great source for me.

yeah, the whiners are the losers.
Lately, I have not been very creative nor found anything of interest.
Never know when the spirit will move me.

You know, the sounds coming from you remind me of a depressed soul. Have you talked about this down environment with anyone. To go day after day in a bottomless pit is not healthy.
Take some advice. Get out and speak to a professional about your downer attitude. Smile, life is grand and it is passing you by...
Take care buddy,

Take care buddy,
Robby, you are an incredibly perceptive person and yet we have never met.
Your advice is heeded.

Actually, when I say I have not found anything of interest, I am mostly referring to humorous antedoctes. I am involved in a lot of things of interest ranging from intense studies of French to techinical analysis of the stock market. In fact, I am consumed both fields and it is becoming an obsession, healthy obsession.

Magnificent obsession?
If you don't remember it, google it
I read the book while waiting to embark from Bremerhaven. The only occurence of the phrase "magnificent obsession" in the book was the title. The author and the publishers credited their readers with enough smarts to figure out what the title meant.
On board I was detailed as cabin class movie projectionist. I had to show that damned movie twice a day for nine days. The movie's dialog and narration together contained about 15 occurrences of the title phrase. The movie made me even sicker than ship's mothion did.
Ah, sweet memories of youth!
