Terry i have had a similar experance with prostate cancer.A year and a half ago my psa was 4.3 and free pas was 7.8 which pointed to cancer for anything below 15 in the free psa it is usually means cancer.

Since that first test i had a biaposy done but no cancer was found but the urologist said at the time that just because no cancer was found at that time it didnt mean cancer wasent present.Since that first viset with the urologist i went on depo provera and last summer when i went to see him he just put his hands on his hips and ask me what is going on here and i told him about the depo provera and his reply was as long as i was on this drug i didnt need to see him any more since my psa was almost unmeasureable

Now at the time that i had my biopsy i had already ordered the provera for i was looking to lower my libdo anyway so i acheaved both of my goals but the lowering of the libdo was my main goal.And yes i do get regular checkups from my doctor that include psa blood work and all is fine so i plan on staying on this drug for as long as my doctor will let me
