Happy Easter!
Re: Happy Easter!
I scrubbed a whole package of carrots last night.
Can't trust that out of country produce, you know!
I think they call it "Easter" because those in the east had such a cumbersome saying. So everyone said "What they said!" or just "Easter."

Re: Happy Easter!
This is the holiday where we nail a rabbit to a cross and throw eggs at it, right?

Re: Happy Easter!
Something like that, yes.
It's also the Sunday that many people go to church, to put in their bi-yearly appearance. I remember this from childhood.
For the Christian faith, you go to church to celebrate the birth and resurrection of Jesus (C).
I guess what He did the rest of the year didn't matter?!

...probably... but I'd rather have the rites of Spring... I can think of better things to 'nail' than a rabbit.

Re: Happy Easter!
Or as I observed on a different thread in response to a negative type of post.
"I have seen better posts on the hill of Golgotha"
Now where did we put that bunny?

Re: Happy Easter!
Sorry, I was raised a Baptist, (please don't hold that against me) but what is Pentecost?
Like I really care.
