Regarding how he could have let it happen, that's why I believe his story in this case -- that she was a jilted lover. It's a lot easier to do this sort of thing when the guy is off guard, i.e. doesn't expect violence. During a rape he'd probably be more suspicious, would be constraining her, and otherwise more alert. Certainly she might be able to stab him generally during a rape, but it would be defensive -- he'd probably have multiple wounds to arms, chest, etc. But to get full access to his penis with a knife during a rape seems doubtful.

Probably the most common scenario for this sort of thing is the man comes home drunk, tries to have sex and passes out instead. Woman grabs sharp objects and cuts away. No need to overpower and hold him down. Of course this is Bangladesh which is Muslim so theoretically they don't drink. Do they do khat is Bangladesh?

It is pretty to imagine it would have been easy to do if he were drunk, passed out drunk. It would seem slicing off a limp one would be easier than an erect one, but merely an assumption, no clinical evidence on that.

Personally, any man who really rapes a woman deserves to be nullified completely. But obtaining absolute factual evidence, unless there are witnesses, when 2 people know one another, can be impossible.

In cases where a woman is randomly attacked and never knew the attacker, the evidence gets to be pretty strong, as long as there is a triple test of DNA.

But just surgically removing a man's genitals won't keep such a beast from hurting someone else, thus, taxpayers have to pay to incarcerate them.

I do wish there was such a thing as a magic wand so that people who go bad could be made to return to good.
