Trolls, Being Duped, And Appropriate Responses

Only on this board could we go from trolls, to "Blazing Saddles", to quoting the Bible! I love it!!!! And Blazing Saddles too! I just watched it for the umpteenth time last Saturday night!

... Just to fulfill the prophecy of several articles I've read which state that a certain fairly large number of internet arguments and discussions degenerate into nastier and nastier comments until, inevitably, a certain well-known nastys' name becomes involked, may I interject the following:

HITLER!! HITLER!! HITLER!! *

* the poster claims no affiliation, afinity, alkalinity, knowledge of whereabouts, shoe size, hat size, scrotum extention, moustache hair count, etc etc re the mentioned behemoth.

For genuine non-troll users, it is pretty easy to spot trolls. They may fool the uninformed and inexperienced newer users, but they trolls soon drool and slobber all over themselves, and disappear. Main problem with trolls is they may claim that they did this or that, and it worked and they are now a true or virtual eunuch.

When I was new to the EA, it took not too long to learn who are the long term and probably reliable participants were. Newbies were either fakers or just passing by.

Still I realize that what works for one person shouldn't necessarily be done by another person. A doctor who evaluates my body's strengths and weaknesses is really the only person who is qualified to advise me what to do.......and even then that isn't always right.

Any reply, comment, feedback, suggestion, recommendation I see or receive, I proceed with caution, which is why it has taken me a year before I finally decided to internet order generic Androcur (due to arrive in a couple of weeks).

What works for someone may be completely inappropriate for you or may be in fact completely inappropriate for anyone. But after a year of reading posts on the EA, and doing internet research, it is time.

It would be nice to drive on an internet that was a freeway,

but unfortunately there are many troll roads.

The potholes (and potheads) are many, so proceed with great caution.

And even though my posting will be real, true, genuine, this does not mean that someone else should follow in my footsteps, or in anyone else's footsteps. Each of us must take and accept responsibility for our own actions and inactions and not be influenced by the real or imagined experiences of others.

As a pothead emeritus, (and still occasional inhaler when old friends come around), I would probably resent that remark if I could just remember what it is I am supposed to resent.
