One year since Christina left us:

Post by lilac (imported) »

It's been one year since our lovely Christina passed away. :( This was one of her favorite places to be, The Ea. She helped many people here when they needed advice. I wanted to post a little something so everyone knew. It's been ruff at times. I think of her everyday. Some days I do cry thinking of her missing her dearly. Surftoad has been my real life shoulder to cry on when needed. Christina would be happy that I am not alone. On a good note, I have a visitor "IEunuch" for 2 weeks, and Sunday May 3rd. "Riverwind" will be here too. We will have our own little "MoM's" :D They picked the right time to visit here. :) Christina will be smiling down at us for sure. Thanks everyone!

Love and Big Hugs, Lilac

Dear Lilac,

It was such a pleasure to meet you at last August's MoM. You shared some things about Christina, and her life, with me then. You were very kind in pointing out a few ways in which Christina and I were similar. I was very flattered.

I am one of the people Christina helped. We only connected a few times here, but she had just the right words for me. I'll never forget that.

I'm glad you have friends to help you through difficult times and also share happiness.

Hugs,

Danya

Has it been a year already?

i only ever spoke to Christina once properly, but I think one reason why I've been able to deal with my own transsexualism is thanks to the advice she gave. I also have her to thank for being on the forums. My registering on the forums was because I wished to pay tribute to her when she left us. Prior to that, I'd been on EA for over 10 years and never done so.

I've just found this thread, Lilac. As you'll be aware I was offline for a long period dealing with the aftermath of a family death. Consequently I was totally unaware of Christina's own sad death. I shared some good times with her, both in discussion boards and 'pms'.

We both share(d) back pain issues and we bonded well from our earliest board joint contact. She was such a very nice person and I am deeply saddened to learn of her death. My belated condolences go to you too and thank you for starting this thread. Christina was a wonderful and courageous person. Take good care Lilac, good friends remain with us always and the good they have done lives on for ages and ages. Someone is only really utterly dead when they are forgotten. People can be with us 30 years plus after they've died.

It's not a 'religious' comment, it's a comment on the power of friendship.
