Harry Potter at KLIA

Post by Jean Op den Kamp (imported) »

Buy 'em books and buy 'em books, and all they do is eat the covers...

;)

Dear Paolo,

As I started reading this book:

Ladyboys, the secret world of Thailand's third gender, by Susan Aldous and Pornchai Sereemongkonpol.

Published 2008 by Maverick House Publishers ISBN 978-1-905379-48-4

I had to remember that joke of yours as I was reading this:

Last but not least, thank you. Yes, you the reader. Your reading choice clearly shows that you don't judge a book by its cover.

I got the feeling they have to know you................

I intend to send this book to the address of EA, with my donation hidden inside as soon as I finish reading it. Money for the EA and the book as a gift for Jesus as background information for the book he is working at.

I will have you a PM as soon as I send it.

On my way back from Vietnam to the Netherlands, I had to wait for about 9 hours at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

In the bookshop I found that book "LADYBOYS
Jean Op den Kamp (imported) wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2009 4:05 am , the secret world of Thailand's third gender
"

I bought it, and paying for it, I asked the shop-assistant if he had anything else about third-gender / eunuchs. He didn't want to understand my question, so I told him that this was about Thailand. What about Malaysia, is there anything familiar with those loverboys at Malaysia. He was embarrassed, how could I ask him such a question. "How can you sell such a book ?"

I found myself a free internet-station, and yes, the connection speed was okay. I checked my hotmail and I saw that there was a new posting on the Eunuch Archive board. I clicked on the link......"

This information belongs to the restricted area, you do not have permission to go there

So I opened internet explorer and entered www.eunuch.org

Harry Potter, you do not have permission to enter the restricted area

I made a visit to "Gold City" the gold shop at the airport. The girl behind the counter was charmed by the white golden necklace I am wearing. It was very special and delicate....

I told her that I bought the same for a friend at Vietnam, and as I got the idea to wear an exact copy myself, the gold shop at Vietnam had worked this copy for me all by hand, making me pay only for the gold and the seven square safire stones in it. The wages were a special gift from the shop-owner.

Two more girls and a security guard, got interested. I told them that I made my choice for white gold, so my friend could go around safe, No-one would understand the real value of his jewels, and he would be protected from financial problems. He can send any family member to a hospital, or replace a lost motorbike, ensure his own study and so on, just make him feel safe....

I remember the bad days, and so does he, as I had to ask other tourists for money to send him to a hospital several years ago.

They wanted to know how old my friend was right now. "******"

There was nothing in their faces and in the conversation that showed any disagreement. They asked a lot more, even things I don't like to repeat right here. Then I asked them about those internet restrictions, and why I was not allowed to visit an eunuch website. My god, who wants to go there.....

Somehow, being a *****-lover was no problem, but asking about eunuchs is shocking........

I am used to some disapproval of my lifestyle, but am I sure that I want to get castrated after this.............

I know, this isn't a good joke, I should be ashamed about it as it is nearly a sick joke. But the facts are true, so maybe it is not a joke at all, maybe I hurt some people's feelings, but on the other hand maybe some-one is willing to think about it.............

I guess I need to practice "Acio broomstick" many times, I might need it one day to get out safe.

I don't know who has added to my reputation and posted that nice comment, but what can I say but THANKS

You made my day. I know to well that a lot of people turn away if I tell about a little friend, so this comment was very important to me, I needed it.

For those who don't understand:

If you look at my avatar, that cutie isn't a friend, it is a picture of me.

At that age, I had already found my big friend, I went to see him about every day(he was a neighbour). In those years, we were told nothing, so we didn't understand a shit about life. Only the feelings between him and me, nobody could stop them. Our friendship never had a chance and society disapproved.

As I was thirteen, I found out that he wanted to die, and I wasn't able to stop him. I was fifteen as I walked behind his coffin. WE JUST NEVER HAD A CHANCE. I still mis him, everything could have been different............

If people don't understand what they are doing and talking about, they should keep their fingers away from "protecting" children.....

As I am reminded by someone in Canada(Ieunuch),there is a conflict between the two principal varieties of English spelling. --FLO--

According to my dictionary neighbour is English and neighbor American, so I do not agree with a spelling checker that doesn't want to accept "neighbour"

But please let us try to be good neighbo(u)rs to each other and be happy together.

(Maybe only two months ago I could have writen "nightborns" !)

In Office 2003 you can set the default language by clicking on Tools/Language/Set Language tab.

In Office 2007 click on Review/set Language.

You get a drop down list you can choose from that includes many versions of English (U.S.,U.K., Hong Kong, Canada,etc..).

The main differences are spell check, date formats and default monetary symbols. You can always use the insert symbol feature to correct the monetary symbols if you must. This will allow you use the dialect with which you are familiar.
