This is the first I've seen that one,

I found it amusing, some people just dont get the humor from Europe.

I liked the video, I found it funny.

One of the funniest commercials I ever saw though, was for Berlitz language schools.

Watch that one and tell me, "what are you tsinking about?"

Sorry. It didn't strike me as funny. In fact I couldn't see the point of it at all. It just struck me as... well, pointless.

Probably I'm missing something. Would some kind soul spell it out for us dumbos?

I was precisely like you the first time. Try it again and listen carefully to the words of the song.

Thinking back on it, I was expecting visual humor. Not seeing that, it left me cold. Catching the words of the song made me grin. Here's to all of us who have said something totally innapropriate in another language because we confused one word with another or didn't understand the social context of when you can say something vs. when that is not said.

When I find I have time on my hands I simply move the watch back onto my wrist and tighten the band. Seems simple enough to me.

Geez! I have to solve all the problems on this board!😠

After seeing that one I had to look at the other "Banned Commercials" that were listed. Some of them are absolutely hysterical. The one showing the child throwing a gale force tantrum in a super market because his father won't buy him some candy, that turns out to be an ad for condoms is right on. The "Plane crash" ad where some idiot gets on the freeway around a traffic break and can't figure out why no one is on the road, until he looks in his rear view mirror is great, and some of the others are totally over the top like the Bridgestone tire ad with the dog trying to commit suicide because of a cheating bitch are completely over the top. Come on, guys and gals, this stuff IS funny.

This decent Dutch family don't understand any English. "I wanne fock (fuck) you in the air." They just swing on the rhythm of the music thinking it is a nice song, which is very humilating and funny.

The point: Don't make a fool of yourself. Learn English!

Thank you Peter47. I tried it again and this time the words of the song were much clearer. I couldn't make them out the first time.

I know it was a commercial but it seems to me it's just making fools of decent innocent people. That struck me as kind of unfair and therefore in bad taste. Would have worked better if it turned out that the couple understood English perfectly. The woman says "Promises Promises" and they rush off to do just what the song says. End on close up of astonished reaction of the kids in the back.
