Unfortunately I have good news and bad news for everyone.
The good news is that the transgender forums have been recovered from the last backup (which occured at midnight, CDT).
The bad news is that so has everything else. Anything posted after midnight has been lost. Unfortunately there was no way around it.
I think everything is working now, however.
Good news - Bad news.

As some of you know already, I am the culprit responsible for the data loss this morning. Fortunately, IE does regular back ups, and he has save my ass from a major wallop. Minor boos and pans are OK.

It's OK Kristoff,
I recently deleted a whole days work of storyboarding. Fortunately I am in the habit [ not a red one though ] of backing up [ especially if there is a really hot guy behind me

Kristoff, as I wrote you earlier, these unintentional database deletions happen to everyone sooner or later. That's why there are backups.
I once deleted an entire company's data with remarkable ease in the middle of of work day! I, too, was able to restore the previous night's backup file.
You are doing a terrific job on the Archive, putting in many hours of your own time to help keep this site running. I am really glad you do this. Thank you.
IEunuch, thanks for your efforts in getting the site back up with the TG forum restored. You are another volunteer who puts in many hours to keep things here going. I find it remarkable that there is very little down time on the Archive.
Many thanks to Kristoff, IEunuch and the others who work so hard to make this a great place.

Everybody sometimes erases files/databases/settings, just to say a moment later: "whoops, how could I did it?..."
That's reminds me of how I once deleted a whole database of user accounts (and other data - it was all files what lie in /etc of a *nix server... mostly server settings... to my great relief I had backups...
How it happened? - Never debug your scripts, while you are under user with administrative rights.

Good thing it was you, if it had been me we would be signaling each other with flags right now. --FLO--

I'm glad it was you, and not me, who tripped over the power cord to the server.
I've killed enough data in my life already.....

Semaphore is a lost art. I have not practiced it since Boy Scouts which of course in this enlightened time I could not be a member. Of course you might have a hard time seeing my flags from Ohio but what a flare I have with them.
