Western Meeting of Members MOM
How come the midwest has all the fun? Why not a western meeting, say tied in with mooning AMTRACK in California in mid-July, Montana for the testicle festival the first of August or later in Reno around Burning Man for those of us who still have questions about female anatomy.

Nothing stopping you. Start organizing it. There have been one or more out west before. No reason another can't be held

Re: Western Meeting of Members MOM
I have held two MOM's on the West coast and two on the East coast with many more in the Midwest. Guess the Midwest gets more because many of the core members of the Eunuch Archive are located there as am I. I am in the process of selling my house and can not make any long term plans until I am move into the new one.
We had great fun at the West coast MOM's and looking forward to seeing our western friends again. If someone wants to organize one be my guest. I am sure it will be a hit like all the rest have been.

OK. Where do we go from here? Should we plot on a map locations and pick a central one or should one person run with it. I am sorry, but I cannot. My work makes planning more than next week impossible, but I will do what I can to help organize it.

Re: Western Meeting of Members MOM
Laughlin is my suggestion.
Laughlin, Nevada. It is on the Colorado River, just across from Bullhead City, Arizona. Lake Mohave is nearby and there is always some good entertainment somewhere in the casinos. Laughlin is a little bit easier on the pocket than Las Vegas.
It is already too damn hot for the meeting of members. I would suggest October, maybe Halloween. The weather is cool enough then.

Re: Western Meeting of Members MOM
If there is actually to be another Western Coast MoM, someone will need to jump in and make the arrangements for it. Each of the MoMs to date has had a single person who has taken the lead and made most of the decisions. Bobbie has done yeoman service in organizing MoMs from coast to coast, but others have also organized a few of them. More people are likely to join in to help with details after the major decisions have been made by a single lead person.
Whoever decides to take responsibility needs to choose the location and set the date. For the first MoM in an area, its probably best to choose a neutral location, such as a public park or campground where there are picnic tables and a BBQ pit. Better if a space can be reserved in advance, rather than having to arrive very early to make certain of a place to gather. (Someones house or backyard works better for later gatherings, once people feel more comfortable with one another.)
The date and general location should be posted here on Eunuch Central, along with the name of the contact person. Those wishing to attend can then send a <Private Message> to received information about the exact location. The Archive is visited by over a half-million unique IP addresses each month. Only about 3,500 are registered members here. You will probably want to do some screening to keep out trolls.
The first two Southern California MoMs centered on the home of Mac-The-Wolf in San Bernardino. Wolfie is not very mobile, but is great fun, if you can include him. Both were one-day events. The Portland MoM began with a gathering (with beer, wine & snacks) in the motel room that IEunuch and I shared, followed by a walk across the parking lot to a restaurant, where we were finally driven out by the staff noisily mopping the floors and putting the chairs up on the tables. The next day (all day) was a gathering and BBQ in the picnic area at the RV park where Bobbie and crew were staying on the opposite side of the freeway from the motel.

I would go to a MoM in San Bernardino. I want to meet Mac-The-Wolf.

Laughlin has the advantage of twin towers where - if your room faces the other tower - you can open the drapes and put on a show. But I also would have no problem with meeting Wolfie. Both are within a days drive for me. If it is at San Berdu, we have at least one member attending. Maybe we could time it so the day before or after there is the mooning of AMTRACK. That would be in July.

Re: Western Meeting of Members MOM
If the meeting were held in the Southern California area, Ken and myself could likely attend. I would not argue with having it in the San Bernardino area so Mac can attend. For those who do not know where San Benrardino is, it is about an hour east of LA. There is a large park north of town that would likely accomodate our needs.
