The Christina Radio Show was a TREMOUNDOUS success thanks to so many like talula, Sister Kristoff, River, Rupert, IEunuch, and many many others who expressed their love for our sister, Christina.

I received a call from Kristoff early this evening. He was with Talula and asked if I'd like to come over and join them. I was really glad he called. I want you to know Talula worked really hard to make this evening's broadcast a success. It was amazing, and a lot of fun, to watch everything that went into creating the broadcast. The banter between Talula and Kristoff was effortless and cool to witness. Being the little introverted girl I am, I can't imagine how they did it

I knew the Archive was a terrific place and witnessing what went on this evening made that even more clear to me in very concrete way. River and Talula had come up with the idea (please correct me if I'm getting this wrong ). The very active broadcast related activity in the chat room showed listeners were having a great time. Chat, emails and phone calls during the broadcast clearly showed how much people care for Christina and wish her well.

As they stated, neither Kristoff or Talula has ever met Christina. I'm certain most people on the Archive haven't either. Despite that, the Archive has provided a friendly, welcoming environment that enable them and others to get to know Christina. That's one of the amazing things about this community. There is genuine, deep caring among members that transcends distance.

I felt really privileged to be able to witness much of the broadcast first hand. The fact that this took place at all is a tribute to the volunteers that run the Archive and others who have been deeply involved with it for a very long time.

Most importantly, the broadcast was very tangible evidence, through an in many ways intangible medium, of the deep respect and love members have for Christina. Our thoughts are with you, Christina, and you are in our hearts.

This was a great way to honor Christina. Hope she liked it as much as we had doing it for her. Was nice to here so more voices from the chat room and message board. Christina you are sure loved and respected and you saw last night. Best wishes to you.

To all those who put "Radio Christina" together, and ran it last night, I cannot begin to express how impressed I was with this effort.

We had the chat room interacting with the broadcast, along with a call-in number and email account live. Not only was there music, but also a direct-link request line, as well as the ability to record yourself and send that MP3 in to be played over the air!

I did this...(yes I know, I sound like a jr. hi. kid!)

I was truly moved by the participation of Members in this program, and cannot think of any better way to honor our lovely Christina.

I also cannot find the words to thank all those who put this together, or even begin to say what a fantastic idea it was.

If you missed it, well, you missed a LOT.

More than 24 hours later, I think I am recovered enough to post. One wonders if Tal is / was in any better shape.

I can only say that I had a blast last night, honoring one of our best and foremost members, especially in her time of need. I was honored to be there, and would do it again quickly, in such a case.

Already, we are getting calls for future shows. I suspect that there would have to be a bit of space between them. I do not think either Tal or I could do these things too often. It is too hard on the liver....

Thanks to all who listened in, lent their moral and spiritual support to our friend, and who enjoyed all the music, as well as the idiots maundering on. I was impressed with all of the messages - email, chat, and by phone, and the karma floating in the air. And I am grateful to have been presented the opportunity to do what little I could.

Hehe. I am recovered, but did alot of sleeping.

Thanks to all that listened, sent stuff in, telephoned, poured drinks, and posted. Radio Christina really was a success and why would it not be? Named after a wonderful lady, it could not fail.

My special thanks go to those that helped this all happen and you know whom you are.

I'll never forget Kristoff's looks as we went back and forth and as he said, we have been asked to do it again. We don't want to do it very often because it would not make it as special, but River is pushing for next August during midwest MoM. This is a possibility....

There have been questions regarding the musical content and am very pleased folks liked the mix. I am sorry we did not get some of the requests but we did manage to get most of them in (River was testing the library out of sheer petulance hahah). Thanks to Danya for coming on over and putting up with us.

We did upload the show to the archive where IE is processing it for a podcast. Sorry to all that I forgot to push the record button for the first hour as there was so much going on, I just plain forgot.
