For all of the Americans (of the U.S.A. variety), wherever you are scattered across the globe, Id like to add my best wishes for a very
happy
4th
of
July.
For those of you who do not fully understand the nature of the event, this is the annual festival for premature explosions and unfortunate boating accidents. All Americans try to get them all out of our system at once. Incidentally, we celebrate the declaration of our independence from England with outdoor BBQ and heat exhaustion.

Re: Happy 4th of July!
Up with the Rebels and down with the Brits! *At least for one day!
We went across the border to Wisconson to buy the "GOOD" fireworks. You know the type. About the size of a trash can with a long fuse. The instructions covered with skull and crossbones.
Ribs! Some form of fizzy pop (Sundrop Soda?) and lots of potato chips, cherries and watermellon.

Yup! Fat, sugar, and salt. American celebrations are a time to cover all of the important food groups.
[My family and I really do celebrate the day and go all out with tradition. I'm just sorry that we're in a drought and fireworks are illegal this year. We're planning on RIBS (the all caps are for a reason with my wife's red pepper rub), beer, wine, and lots of salty things with guacamole and salsa. Less sugar, but we substitute alcohol the fourth important food group. And ending with a watermelon seed spitting contest.]

Re: Happy 4th of July!
We plan a BBQ of some ribs tomorrow, talua and flo are in Seattle parting so Gem and I will feast and enjoy the day. Fireworks are legal in Wisconsin but we are not going that route. If we drank a nice bottle of wine would be good but we will most likely stick with milk.

Re: Happy 4th of July!
I am going to work at my part time job. Well at least I will be making time and a half for the day. I hope everyone enjoys their day and fails to come to my store and shop. I would like independence from refolding towels, straightening rugs and trying to figure out which of our cheapest vacuums will clean the most cat hair. Or worse yet be assigned to the shoe department.
For everyone on EA I hope you have a wonderful day!
Of course EunuchOH is welcome to stop in today. Eunuchs are always welcome.
