Boxing Day, Part I

Post by curious_guy (imported) »

Boxing Day, Part I by Kevin is a very good story. I am looking forward to subsiquent parts. I want to find out how Trip deals with his new status. I wonder if there will be any guys on the team who do not share Trip's status by the end of the season.

Glad you liked it! 🙏 More installments are on the way, but no promises as to when. I've got a plan to have many chapters, but there will only be one more dealing with Trip and his team. The main focus of the series will be the box and how different people come to have an appointment with it.

That sounds good. I do not see how you could have more than one more chapter about Trip. I hope you will have some stories about younger guys who meet the box.

I notice that there are several stories by Kevin. Most of them are in German. Did you write them or is there another Kevin?

No, the German stories aren't mine, but the "Peter's Gift" series is. I also used to write under the pseudonym "Eric S."

Just out of curiosity, did Trip and his teammates know that they might be boxed when they joined the team? Also what is a "redshirt"?

... Also what is a "redshirt"?

...If you find yourself going with an egomaniacal captain and a long-eared man going by the name of Mr. Spock on a landing party, suffice to say, you do NOT want to be one of them....

I knew about that meaning but since this is not a trek story I figured it had a different meaning

In this story, "redshirts" has nothing to do with Star Trek.

Under NCAA rules, college athletes only have four years of eligibility (mainly to avoid students staying in school for the purpose of milking a college athletic career). For a variety of reasons (academics, medical problems or injury, athletic development, roster issues, etc.), it sometimes makes sense for a student to defer a year of eligibility, often during their freshman year (usually meaning they will attend college for five years instead of four). These players are commonly referred to as "redshirts" due to the red jerseys they wear at practices.

For those who'd like to read more about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redshirt_(college_sports)

As to the other question about prior knowledge, it's unlikely any player would have known about the box program prior to joining the team. The decision to start the program was made just a couple weeks before the beginning of the season, and by that time the team roster was certainly pretty close to being final. Most players are recruited while still in high school (a star receiver like Trip certainly was). A few players might tryout for the team as walk-ons, but that's somewhat rare and usually limited to special teams positions like kickers and athletes who committed to the school to play in other sports. In any event, those tryouts would have taken place long before the announcement that the administration had approved use of the box.

It has been a very long time since there have been any new stories in this series. I hope that PitLoverVA will continue it.

Maybe the use of the box will be so successful at Trip's college that High Schools and then Junior High Schools will start using it.

Kevin

Why didn't Trip and his teammates quit the team when they found out that they could lose their cocks? I can not imagine many guys being willing to risk losing their dicks to play on a sports team.
