I have just read the San Carlos Island - Hop Sing series of stories. (I waited until I had finished my Sander series to read them because I did not want to be influenced by them.) This series is quite good. The beginning is somewhat unpleasant but it gets better and it has a happy ending. It is a powerful story with quite a bit of conflict. a good plot and good relationships.
If you want to read this series, you should read Sander's Story - Part 1 through Part 8, Sander -- the conclusion (slammr's version), Sander's First Client (Slammr's Sander), and San Carlos Island (in that order) first.

Yes, Timothy sure came up with a good story premise and some good characters. It's unfortunate that he got himself banned.
After reading
that you and Slammr wrote, I think that maybe my stories should have had more action and conflict. What do you think?curious_guy (imported) wrote: Wed Feb 28, 2007 5:14 am the San Carlos Island - Hop Sing series of stories

There was more to Timothy "giving up custody of Sander" than that, but that's a long story.
Different writers have different styles, of course, and whatever YOU want to write is entirely up to you. Not everyone is going to sit around for days outlining a plot and trading ideas back and forth before writing it all out.
Sometimes the more "short and sweet" tales are even better than the novel-length ones, and it gives us more diversity to choose from.
