For all my educator friends!!
SICK OF THOSE HIGH PAID TEACHERS
I, for one, am sick and tired of those highly paid
Teachers. Their hefty salaries are driving up taxes,
And they only work nine or ten months a year!
It's time we put things in perspective and pay them
For what they do...baby-sit! We can get that for
Less than minimum wage. That's right...I would give them
$3.00 an hour and only for the hours they worked,
Not any of that silly planning time. That would be $15 a
Day.
Each parent should pay $15 a day for these teachers
To baby-sit their children. Now, how many do they teach
In a day.... Maybe 25? Then that's $15 X 25 = $375 a
Day. But, remember, they only work 180 days a year!
I'm not going to pay them for any vacations. Let's
See... that's 375 x 180 = $67,500.00 (Hold on, my
Calculator must need batteries!)
What about those special teachers or the ones with
Master's' degrees? Well, we could pay them minimum
Wage, just to be fair. Let's round it off to $6.00
An hour. That would be $6 X 5 hours X 25 children X 180
Days = $135,000.00 per year. Wait a minute, there is
Something wrong here!!!
Looks like taxpayers are getting a bargain!!!

Re: Sick Of Those High Paid Teachers
You are so wrong,
several years ago as all my kids are now grown, I looked at there schedule.
The first two weeks of school were full days, Monday through Friday.
That was the last two full weeks they had the entire year.
Starting the third week there was a half day for teachers to do what ever.
The forth week had a holiday, you know schools take every holiday they can find. Ground hog day, All saints day and this was public school. Then along about the 5 or 6 week there was a full week of half days because of teacher parent conference, like parents have the afternoon off for this sort of thing. This continued for the rest of the year.
So by your math, the teachers only work 3 1/2 days a week average so that brings them back to the pay they now get which is sometimes an overpayment.
It was just like this yoyo who was trying to sell us on year round school. For those of you who don't know how this works its 3 months on and 1 month off. Of course they also said all your kids would be on the same schedule.
I asked him again if this included all my kids, and he assured me that all my kids would be on the same schedule. I said fantastic, then no change for me. I have one in high school one in middle school and 3 in grade school.
Everybody laughed, the grade schools went to year round school which lasted 2 years, it was out in the central valley of California and the schools did not have any AC. We were not caught up in this web of stupid, We moved.
