Some of us took advantage of Dr. Kimmel and I for one will always feel indebted to him and his services. If you never met him or took advantage of his services, you really have no right to comment. No matter what horror stories you may have heard, Dr. Kimmel helped a lot of us and deserves our recognition and appreciation. For me, Dr. Kimmel was thorough, compassionate, and yes skillful. Has his skill(s) declined, probably, that's what age does to us. It makes us feeble and what we once were, we are no more.
I have not heard from anyone recently who took advantage of his castration surgery accept Hompty Dumpty, and I'm wondering how the good doctor is doing. I am sure that soon he will retire and then the one "no questions asked" source that prospective eunuchs could utilize will be gone. So I'm going to give the good doctor a call and find out how he's doing. I'll give you all a report. Again, if you never met him personally, please keep your comments to yourself.

Re: Dr. Kimmel news
I called Dr. Kimmel but Mary said he was unavailable to talk. She did suggest calling tommorrow and gave me some suggested times. I quizzed Mary about his health and was told that he's still doing fine and has had no health problems. If you know Mary, she's not really forthcoming with information, but she was polite. I suppose with all the HIPPA stuff and privacy protections that are now in place, you have to be careful about what you say. Anyway, I'll keep trying to talk with Dr. Kimmel directly and give you a report.
Re: Dr. Kimmel news
You could offer a social call if you're near enough to the area, or offer a "follow up" on your condition and thoughts on the whole matter of castration. Then you could kind of throw in the "how are you" and "how's it going" things in the conversation.
I have often read how Kimmell follows up on those who hang around the area, and has even calls to those who have not to see how they are. If you think about it, he may just appreciate the return of a courtesy, if nothing else. (Personally, I'm not very good at that, but it never hurts to try.)
