The End is Nigh!

The Eunuch Archive Survey is still attracting new respondents at a slow, but steady rate. We do, however, need to bring it to a close in the near future. Wednesday, May 25 will be the last day that it will be open for new information. Over the weekend, we will then post preliminary data from the survey as a new thread on the Non-Fiction board and open a thread to discuss the survey on Eunuch Central.

Since it will take some time to properly analyze the information, we will only be posting preliminary data at this time. We will also post only a representative sample of the longer, written responses that many wrote. Nothing that identifies any individual will be posted publicly.

More complete analyses and discussions of the survey will be posted as soon as the researchers have time to sit down together to write up their analysis.

Any additional information that you would be willing to share or any private communication that you would like with the researchers can be emailed to EASurvey@yahoo.com.

If you have not yet taken the survey, please do so NOW. The information will help us to better understand the community. If you know any eunuchs or eunuch wannabees who have not taken the survey, please urge them to do so.

Our fearless leader, Talula, has asked me to clarify that the sentence "

Nothing that identifies any individual will be posted publicly

" refers to those written responses to the Survey where people intentionally gave their names and/or email addresses.

There are a great many LONG essay responses to question 56: "Is there anything else that you would like to tell us about your history and interest in castration?" Only those with NO identifying information will be considered for public posting.

Unless you actually wrote it into one of the narrative responses, there is nothing that can be traced back to any individual respondant. We can't even pull out a single response to the Survey, but only aggregated data. Unless you specifically gave identifying information, your response is absolutely anonymous. And, even if you did give identifying information, it can't be connected to answers to other questions than the one where you wrote your name or email address.

I'm certainly looking forward to the results, I expect a lot of interesting and enlightening information. Kudos the the academics who are putting this together, and for the Archive folks for arranging the mechanics of it.
