Now, show me a plane trip that can make this clam.

Last year talula, gemm and I took an evening train, it was old time dinning cars and yes we had dinner. The train only went about 2 mph for about 15 miles then backed up at the same speed back to the starting point arriving just when you finished your meal, which was 5 star. On our return trip we were passing a small housing track and we passed several teens, who dropped them and mooned us. They thought it was funny and so did we. As I said I like trains and this summer I am hoping I can take a train trip to California and spend a month with my kids and grandkids. Yes it will take 2 1/2 days as apposed to 8 hours by plane but what do you get in a plane. You get stale peanuts a flat coke in a plastic glass; you are told to stay in your seat and buckled up. The seat is a child seat that you are told, "well of course you will fit", now on a train the seats are big enough for the largest person, you can look out the window and actually see something. You can get out of your seat and take a walk; you have a domed car that has windows up and over your head so you dont miss anything. You have a dinning car that you sit down at and actually order a meal of your choice from their menu, what a novel idea. So you finally reach your destination, yes it took a couple days, but you got to see some of the country, you did not need to get to the train station 3 hours before your flight, you can take more luggage, parking is free in most places. So why not take a train trip for your next vacation. I would highly recommend several routes but the one below might be worth the trip.
