Texan joke

Post by Andrew (imported) »

Revan's family was celebrating and in a good mood at a fancy steakhouse. As their waiter stood there ready to take their orders, Revan was caught up in listening to the background music that was piped throughout the restaurant.

"What 'CD' is this?" she asked him. Apparently her East Texas accent confused him, because he looked at her for a moment, leaned over, and answered, "Fort Worth." 🙏

Andrew, I can certainly relate to this. The accent in San Antonio/South Texas is not near as thick as the East Texas accent which speaks more with a twang whereas the Dallas/Ft. Worth accent has the nasal effect. West Texas is distinctly different from any other part. Yet, strange as it is, all Texan can understand each other...to an extent!
