Before he passed, Bboy and his family set out to open a resturant. As you can imagine his passing set the opening of the resturant quite a bit.
After hard work and help from friends, it opened yesterday (Sunday) and folks came in such droves they ran out of food by 7:00 pm. They had to nail the doors shut and start cooking.
Since then they have cooked/prepared twice as much food and I hope they make it till closing at 11 tonight.
This is of course good news and it fufills one of Bboy's dreams. River and I were invited to the "dry run" which wasn't so smooth but tasty non-the-less.
Also in the news department is the charity event at the bowling alley held Saturday.
Bboy ran a Jr bowling league for many years. All were welcome no matter if thier folks could pay for the bowling and everyone walked out with a prize at the end of the league. Bboy always squirrled some cash away or paid for the entries himself if a lad or lass could not pay.
In his memory they threw something in his honor with all proceeds going to the Lung society and the bowling alley was jammed. Parking was impossible and there were hundreds of kids bowling with black, strobe, and ornamental lights blasting. I wish Bboy was around when I was a kid and interested in bowling.
FYI and all for now,
