Issues with the Archive

Hi all,

Recently we have been experiencing some lag-times from the Archive that seem abnormal, and they are.

Since approx. May 19th the Archive has been experiencing traffic that is double the normal traffic and because of that the server just isn't going to serve webpages as fast as normal.

As to why the sudden increase in the popularity of the Archive? Well, it is only specultation but it might have to do with the release of the movie "American Eunuch".

Folks are always welcome to visit the Archive, and my hope that the great influx of traffic brings us new friends.

Seems that I remember a jump in use after the news of that botched castration which mentioned the EA. But the lookie-loos eventually went away. I'm sure the same thing will happen this time around. 15 minutes of fame every couple of years and all that.

Those of you who run this "zoo" of ours deserve more thanks than we can ever, ever offer you.

And keep in mind, even if we get thousands of curious people, there are a few who are going to become seriously interested in the Archive. Many of us got here just to explore......
