An idea I just read about in another topic (http://www.eunuch.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=4194), as an alternative to penectomy: Cutting the penis short, so that the remaining part is 0.5 to 1 inch long.
Such a penis would be short enough to avoid getting in the way, yet would be usable to pee standing up for those who are inclined to.

Just cut your nuts and let nature take its course. Without testosterone in your blood stream, in the usual amount, your willie will shrink to that length and you won't know its there...

I don't want to throw cold water on this topic, but feel this should be considered.
I have read that the glans is the most sensitive part of the male physique, and has the most nerve endings per square inch. Based on my own experience, I can't dispute it. What used to be exquisitely pleasurable when touched is now just scar tissue, and it has certainly affected my ability to ejaculate.
Of course, my wife thinks that's a good thing, since in the normal course of events, she gets off well before I do. I remember during my first marriage, I'd sometimes orgasm in less than a minute after penetration. It's too bad that a compromise couldn't have been reached. Fifteen minutes would be about right, don't you think?
Unfortunately, I no longer have that option.
My point is, be damned sure you know what you're giving up before you seek out something like that. It won't grow back.
