Spielberg's Balls
I just saw Jurassic Park and noticed at the end when Lex is trying to get the computers back online, she says "I know this, it's a eunuch's system!". I was like hell yeah! Makes sense seeing as the scientists were effectively castrating the dinosaurs by genetically modifying them to be female.

Re: Spielberg's Balls
It was UNIX system (the one from SGI to be correct (IRIX), I have even seen that one myself
).
Sounds almost exactly the same as eunuch's, but the difference in meaning... (If I remember correctly, the UNIX name is said to be a pun on MULTICS: "It's castrated MULTICS". http://web.archive.org/web/200605021405 ... ryrev.html paragraphs 2 and 3).
I wonder, why they used workstations specifically made for CAD and 3D graphics design there?

Hahaha!
She also says: "Timmy, what is it?" "It's a velociraptor." "It's inside..."
Fact=p

Ages ago when I told my dad that I was taking a class on UNIX, little did he know...

Re: Spielberg's Balls
I guess the question is, what kind of system runs the Eunuch Archive? I think it is a UNIX system what else would we use?

Isn't every operating system used today based on one or the other Unix version?
The computer nerds where I used to work called Windows NT a unix-like OS.
I know MAC-OS is Unix based.

Windows NT family has deep roots in VMS, not in Unix.

That makes sense.
You don't get anywhere sticking your ROOTS in Eunuchs... (UNIX)....
...after they're UNIX their ROOTS have no branches...

Spielberg's Balls
Kate Capshaw has them.
I don't think Amy Irving ran off with them in the their divorce settlement.
Irving. Capshaw. Those lucky balls.
