Tiger Woods and the President play golf

This last weekend the president played a round of golf with Tiger Woods and two oil men, the press was not invited and they are pissed.

So as Rachel Madder said tonight, " If the president and Tiger play golf and the press was not there did it happen? Do we give a rats puttee? "

I love her show, she does tell it like it is.

Yes the poor press corp on the white house beat, who think yes think they deserve first access to any president once he leaves the east wing until he returns and gets there panties twisted when the president takes a day off.

When this story came on the news earlier this week, my reaction was honestly "seriously, you guys? Is it really such a slow news day that you have nothing better to bitch and whine about than the president taking a day off to play golf with Tiger Woods?"

Ed Henry of FOX NEWS heads the White House Correspondents. Complaining this way was a a risky ploy to backhand criticize the White House. After all, if you listen to those press conferences or briefings that Jay Carney has to put up with, it gets picky, childish and stupid.

This was like Gingrich complaining when he had to ride the back of Air Force One and not up front with President Clinton.

People see it as petty and childish.
