A cowboy sees a farmer walking a pig and notices that the animal is missing a leg. Curious, he asks the farmer how the pig lost its limb.
"Well, one night the wife and me was asleep when the pig noticed the house was on fire. This here pig managed to bust outa his pen, break down our front door and drag me to safety. I was hackin' and coughin', so's he went back into the house and carried my wife out, bolted back inside, and out he comes with our son! Why, we'd all be dead if it weren't for this pig."
"Wow!" exclaims the cowboy. "So, did the pig lose its leg in the fire, then?"
"Oh, no, no," says the farmer. "When you got a pig like this, you don't eat it all at once."
