While we are still working our way through the analyses of the Eunuch Archive Survey and there are still a few more articles in various stages of draft, I thought you might enjoy a bit of data that I just worked through this weekend. There were over 500 questions on the survey and over 3,000 responses. Some of the data turned out to lead nowhere interesting. Other data is interesting but doesnt seem to fit any paper that we have planned. Here are two topics that are interesting, but may only be quick notes in longer pieces:
1) Those already castrated who took the survey were overwhelmingly White. 98% self-identified their ethnicity as Anglo, Wasp, White, Caucasian, etc. A bit over 1% self-identified as Hispanic. There was one person each identifying as Black or Asian ancestry. There was a little more diversity among the wannabes, who were only 95% White.
2) and much more interesting, I just pulled out the data on where survey respondents grew up, organized by their HRT status. For the rough average dates when the respondents would have been growing up, the farm population of the U.S. and Canada was between 3 and 4% of the total. Heres how some of our groups broke down:
12% of the wannabes grew up on a farm
14% of those who have been surgically castrated and are on full replacement testosterone (probably those with BIID) grew up on a farm.
23% of those surgically castrated and taking no HRT, or a very low dose to prevent osteoporosis and hot flashes grew up on a farm. (Our Male-to-Eunuch group)
NOT ONE of those chemically castrated who is transitioning to female grew up on a farm. (84% of those transitioning to female grew up in a city.)
Any thoughts about why all of this might be so?

Re: Survey Trivia, Pt. 1
I think it's time for another survey. I seem to remember the data was collected before I was castrated and that happened in late 2005.
Perhaps a new survey that poses questions to answer gaps left by the previous, follows up with people who were included in the past survey and have now changed their "status" from wannabe to actual no-testicles eunuch, etc.
Has this been considered? I think it would be useful to get more recent data now that the better part of a decade has passed since the original survey. I'm still fascinated by what you have found thus far, and I've also noticed without the survey that by and large the group of people who are eunuchs are white/caucasian.

Re: Survey Trivia, Pt. 1
You know Jesus you mention something quite interesting. I grew up in a very rural town in manitoba(only in my childhood till grade 4) and I still have penectomy only desires coupled with my gender dysphoria. why is that so?. Oh yeah. region where I grew up, surrounded by farms!!
Say it ain't so!!!!!!!
NB = No castration desires.
Weird thing is that my gender dysphoria came first before the penectomy desire. penectomy only came about onset when I was fapping around 16. It switches on and off depending on how much disgust i show for the appendage or how much I love it. My penis and I have a love hate relationship sorta deal.
No desires for vaginoplasty either.
I just see myself as a female/male hybrid
Oh How I wish the entire planet was truly hermaphrodite in nature.
It would end wars and conflict.

Re: Survey Trivia, Pt. 1
When you say "grew up on a farm," do you mean that it has to have been an active farm that had animals and grew crops? Or is that including people like me who grew up on a plot of farmland (inactive... we didn't actually farm anything, but it was a farm house with a barn and once-active fields and animal pens) in the middle of nowhere?
Because if that counts, then as of January 7th you officially add me as the first person who is going through chemical castration with a gender transition who grew up on a farm. (Granted, I didn't really start having transsexual thoughts until I moved to Tampa, FL in 7th grade, but I did spend my entire childhood and a good chunk of my post-college life on that farm, and there were indeed some early signs of my eventual gender issues while I was still living on little old Jackson Run Road in Cambridge, OH.)

The actual question on the survey was multiple choice and worded as, In what sort of place did you principally grow up? There were seven choices, the first listed of which was In a large city (over 250,000). The last two choices were In open country, but not on a farm and On a farm.
While none of the survey respondents who had been chemically castrated as a step in their Male-to-Female transition chose On a farm, 7% (the lowest percentage of any category of respondent) chose the open country response.
At the other end of the scale, the top choice for the Male-to-Female group was In a large city (over 250,000), which was chosen by the smallest percentage of Male-to-Eunuch folk.
For the survey respondents (who may or may not be representative of the larger population), our transwomen are largely city girls and the no-T eunuchs are country boys.
I have my theory of whats going on. Id like to hear yours .

I think that you may be right. Rather than confuse this thread with two topics, I've started a new thread on the subject. You can find it at

I did not realize that you guys were still working on that survey, my how time slips by. I can't think of anything right now but will mill it over and see if I come up with something.
