My reaction to that video, using appropriate Japanese emoticons:

1. ☆(⌒▽⌒)☆ -("Yeah! Let's do this!")

2. (ಠ~ಠ)?

3. (◎_◎')

4. (/゚Д゚)/

5. ( ≧Д≦) -("WTF!!!")

6. (╥﹏╥)

7. ☐ ... ...┌(;゚Д゚)┘

Even for Japan this is VERY strange. The sub-titles, though, are well done. They capture the Japanese quite well, though there are, of course, some cultural aspects that would have required much more text to explain.

Just let the strange wash over you......

I'm fascinated by this kind of bizarrity.

Jesus, I can totally see how the vid displays some cultural aspects of the Japanese. I just tried to type out what I mean, but no; it'll have to wait for a MoM, or other, meeting to discuss :).

What a piece of work. Strange, certainly, VERY strange, but also incredibly well thought out, acted, and filmed.

Great link.

I watched it and thought that half the inspiration for it was probably from someone's dreams, you know, the really odd nonsense that dreams are filled with? I suppose Dr. Jung could come up with all sorts of "meaning" from this crap. The other half of the inspiration seems like a bunch of film school students who had access to a good camera and wanted to prove that they could make a short film with no sense at all, based on some high school gym teacher's nightmare perhaps.

If I had made this film, the girl would have been naked and would have had a machette instead of a badmitton rackett... yes, I am sure the film would be much more meaningful with naked girls and machettes.

By the way, the movie "Machette" with Danny Trejo is really great.
