I can add only one thing. You forgot Dennis Ritchie, creator of C language and a key developer of Unix.
PS. Steve Jobs is/was overhyped.

Amen to that!!
I liked joke. But if I repost it, I would change a few names.
I don't think the joke was in bad taste at all... The only thing "in bad taste" is trying to connect this joke to the Aurora Shooting.

Yes, in the political section, sure in the deep dark cellar, but here in the JOKE SECTION,
ITS A JOKE. Its not intended to be politically correct, nice, show common courtesy, its meant to get a laugh, make you ponder, insult your intelligence because ITS A JOKE.
GOD, did you loose your sense of humor when they cut off your balls?

Well, River...I like the fucking joke. It's up to the reader to put a meaning to the punch line. I don't even think it's politically incorrect. Don't you people have something better to find fault with? The complaints are more representative of what's in the mind of the complainers than it is of any incorrectness of the joke.

Re: The power of Prayer
I, too, like the joke.
In another lifetime my then spouse's aunt, a Catholic nun, came for a visit. I was horrified when she wanted to listen to Rush.
When I was dating 'X' in Chicago, he listend to Rush and Michael (not Dan
) Savage. At first, I was uncomfortable with it. Then I decided to joke about them. 'X' found my jokes funny and I think he would appreciate this one, too.

It would be the correct thing IMHO to delete the whole thread or at least lock it out...DELETE would be better though.
I remember the threads where some of us were upset that there were people praying for the President's death every day.
We are better than this.
I sort of agree with you, but this seems more tongue in check than a real prayer.
