Travelling in Icy Conditions

Post by colin (imported) »

A government warning said that anyone travelling in the current icy conditions should take:

Shovel, Blankets or sleeping bag

Extra clothing including scarf, hat and gloves

24 hours supply of food and drink

De-Icer

5Kgs of Rock Salt

Torch or lantern with spare batteries

Road Flares and Reflective Triangles

Tow rope

5 gallon petrol Jerrycan

First Aid Kit

Jump Leads

I looked a complete prat on the train this morning !

I'm surprised you were not taken off the train for being a terrorist since you had 5-gallons of petrol with you. ;)

Is a "prat" like a doofus?

Is a "prat" like the stupidest person who wears a clown costume to the cemetery and crashes Wakes for free food and the booze?

prithee, you faithful servant hasn't use the word PRAT since he saw WC Fields in college so many years ago (when I was young and charming and practiced baby farming!)

Thankyou, this is funny and original, and I actually like the use of the word "prat," but I hope you don't mind, when I retell this one, I am going to end it like this: "I looked like a complete asshole when I showed up at the airport..... TSA creeps had me locked my up for 24 hours observation."

Why, Deacon, you can always reduce the 5 gal. to one quartz-size, clear, zip lock bag and use the rest to flame TSA.
