THE WALKING DEAD rises again
They say viewer discretion advised and let me just say this -- the world is falling apart, body by body, bullet by bullet, dead by dead.

Re: THE WALKING DEAD rises again
Our country has definately been on a downward moralistic spiral. We must change that now before it is too late.

Re: THE WALKING DEAD rises again
This was the episode after Season 2's barn massacre and all that it revealed.
The premise of the books and the TV show (which follow different story lines) is about who remains human and civilized as society falls apart when flesh-eating zombies take over.
I'm not sure people want me to post spoilers because AMC repeats these episodes all week and until next week's episode, it isn't a repeat.

Re: THE WALKING DEAD rises again
I DIDN'T EXPECT HIM TO DIE!
This was a wicked, wicked episode and all I will say, civilization really ended tonight.
Civilization might have frayed in the past episodes but tonight, it was rent asunder in a biblical sense and lies now in tatters on the bloody, zombie soaked ground.

Re: THE WALKING DEAD rises again
This is the next to the last episode and it starts with a funeral on the screen (I won't say who because that's too much of a spoiler) and the voiceover is by Sheriff Rick ... He speaks of doing it right and all sorts of idealistic stuff. As I listened to it, I thought, DAMN! ! ! ! when he falls from grace (and he does fall) he is going to hit the bottom hard, hard, hard.
Next week is the season finale

Who is "we" and what "must" we "change". Are you suggesting forcing morals upon people? Who's moral's do we choose? Who gets a say so in what moral's we choose to change? I mean, didn't god give each man free will to choose to follow god's morality? So if god wants everyone to choose for themselves, who are you to overstep god and say that "we" which includes you, "must" do anything? Not to mention the 3/5 of the world's population that does not believe in god.
So again, are you for forcing morals on others, and who will decide what morals everyone is to abide by? And lastly, have you ever heard of entropy? You can't unring a bell.

Re: THE WALKING DEAD rises again
There is a reason I didn't respond to MAC trying to involve this in politics.
When I said in the first thread: "
I meant that this is the ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE where a virus begins to alter society as we know it.
It is as valid as the movie "Night of the Living Dead" by George Romero and the comedy novel "Married, with Zombies" or "Pride and PRejudice and Zombies" or that Abe Lincoln book and movie that I can't recall right now.
This is not, and has never been, a metaphor for society as we know it.
This show has been an exploration of one possible way a group of people survive and still retain their humanity.
And it is just fiction for the viewer to enjoy. It is not fiction designed to make people behave in particular ways. Any student of literature knows that. This started as a wickedly graphic comic book imagining what might happen as society crumbles.
It is not and can never be a political screed for one view of politics or another.

Re: THE WALKING DEAD rises again
A herd of zombies descends on the farm and killing and chaos prevail.
Multiple characters die. Rick reveals the dread secret that Jenner of the CDC whispered in Rick's ears before Jenner blew up the CDC in Atlanta.
It's the social revelations that stun the viewer.
And believe me, when society is his far down, the last shreds die hard...
no pun intended.
