Iron Sky a must see 'B' movie
This one sounds like its just up our ally, it will have something for everybody, cant wait to see it.
Sarah Palin Fights Moon Nazis in ‘Iron Sky’ [Video]
B-Movie fans, it’s time to get excited. “Iron Sky” tells the story that we’ve all been waiting to see. What would happen if Sarah Palin was president, Newt Gingrich set up a moon colony, and Nazi’s attacked from space? That, basically, is the premise of this terribly fantastic movie. Here’s the official synopsis from the movie’s website: (http://www.ironsky.net/site/)
“Iron Sky is dark science fiction comedy that takes place in the year 2018, when the Nazis, who fled the Earth to the dark side of the Moon in 1945, return to claim the Earth.”
Sarah Palin isn’t specifically listed in the credits. Instead, actress Stephanie Paul plays a character called simply “The President of the United States.” It does seem, however, that Paul is doing a Sarah Palin impression in the trailer.
“Iron Sky” will debut this weekend at the Berlin International Film Festival. Director Timo Vuorensola said:
“It is simply mind-blowing that we get to have the world premiere of Iron Sky in Berlin, of all places!. I hope the movie’s antifascist message will resound with audiences.”
Here’s the trailer for “Iron Sky.”

What do you think? Is this the greatest cinematic achievement in the history of film? Does “The President of the United States” resemble Sarah Palin?
The film is bound to have at least some financial success since it was partially financed by fans through the film’s website. According to Wired (http://www.wired.com/underwire/2012/02/ ... -iron-sky/), “Iron Sky” will open in Finland on April 4th. It will hit the United States during the South by Southwest film festival in Austin, Texas.

I sincerely hope this flick gets a wide distribution.
I absolutely NEED to see this film. It just looks so awesome.
I've known about it since they were initially asking their fans to help them finish the film. I've been hoping they'd get it done.
The trailers make it look too amazing to pass up.
Space Nazis from the moon. How can this not be awesome?

Just for fun, here is the theatrical trailer for the film, complete with Sarah Palin-esque President.
I laugh out loud when I watch this trailer.

I wonder if the the producers of this movie think that the moon really has a "dark side?" (It does not.)

Thanks for the trailer, this is going to be the best comedy of the year, I can't wait to see it.
I can see this being a cult classic, just in that little clip there are one liners that you know your going to see again.
"Starting a war in your first term always gets you reelected".
great stuff.

Re: Iron Sky a must see 'B' movie
I know I brought this up once before... Sometime, about a year or two ago, I think it was in a thread about illegal aliens... Anyway, I think it was moi or Bob who was saying how it was a threat to America... So I posted a youtube link to the "Iron Sky" trailer and said that the illegal aliens were not nearly the threat that these Space Nazis were gonna be. I am absolultely sure I posted it somewhere but now damned if I can find it. Anyway, I thought the "Space Nazis" were comming in 2018, at the end of that trailer there was a pigeon shitting on a Nazi eagle and the words "coming 2018," NOT 2012. This more recent trailer puts the release date at "04.04.2012."
I will probably not go to see this movie, seriously, movie tickets are outrageously expensive and popcorn and a cola costs more than a full meal at home. For years now, I have always just waited for it to come out on DVD and rent it first, then if I like it I buy the DVD. I am VERY VERY happy that I did not pay but for one night rental of the movie "Snow Flower And The Secret Fan," that too, was a GREAT STORY, I read the book and so totally loved that story, when I heard of the movie I was so eager to buy it, but luckily the Hastings store only had it for rent... I rented the DVD and OH MY GAWD what a dissappointment!
So, even though this "Iron Sky" movie appears to be a great movie... the trailers always make the movie appear to be a great movie, I will probably wait for the rental, then after I rent it - IF it is indeed a "classic" I will buy the DVD.

Oh don't misunderstand me, I think this movie will be so bad it will be a classic. I am loading up my squirt gun now in Anticipation.
But yes, I will wait for it to hit the rental market, which I suspect will be about 2 weeks after its release.

...
I try to go to the discount showings but lately, I've been caught paying full price for 3D and such. That's not why I started this.
POPCORN, POPCORN, POPCORN
In the summer, I see women with lots of little kids (usually three kids or more and unrelated features, meaning it's a designated two family outing) and the theaters let the adults bring their own bowl for the kids to share and I've seem a scrawny little kid with a bag of popcorn bigger than his body and barely able to see over the top walking into the theater. He really didn't trust the rest of the kids, yanno how that goes.
I thought it was cute.
