I remembered that we have a member here who is called Plix. He was castrated around age 20. And after living a full year or so as no Hormone Eunuch he decided to continue with Testosterone Replacement Therapy. Over about 5 or so years he became really hairy and masculine as he himself describes.

So, it might be the path you just avoided. I am sure that you have avoided at least some masculinisation for sure. And I feel littlebit jelaous, as I didn't choose your path at the right time for various reasons. Mostly because of lack of information.

I think it's certain that I'd have got hairier and had male fat distribution and muscle tone if I hadn't begun treatment. I was mainly wondering about my skeletal structure and voice. I think both are within the range of possibilities for men but at the androgynous end of that range so I've always wondered if I'm just lucky genetically or if acting when I did managed to stop things going further at all. It seems most people in this thread are saying that it's not completely impossible but not likely there was much left by 19. So it seems I'll never know for sure, but I'd rather that than having waited to find out :)

Well I didn't even know my path was possible. I knew what I wanted at 17 but thought it was impossible. It was really an act of desperation that I convinced myself I was transsexual at 19 and got treated. I'm lucky that I was a teenager just as home dialup internet access came in. I was just 17 when I got online and started reading through Yahoo's directory and a few interesting web rings. If it had been any later I'm not sure things would've gone the same way.

If you don't have that much facial hair and can't afford laser or electrolysis, plucking for about a half hour or so a week with a magnifying mirror works great. It has for me. I think I grew an inch in my early twenties although I'm still a short person. My ribcage was still very small until about that time too.And I am the only 'male' that is not bald to the third degree of relatedness. As a matter of fact I can still talk with the same exact voice as my sister, so I don't in order to avoid confusion, except I do talk to animals in my feminine for some reason. I still sing soprano as opposed to falsetto but I' not a skilled singer. As far as most strangers know, I sound and look like a twenties something male.

Thanks for your perspective. Sorry I think I've missed if you're castrated and if so when?

Most of the trans women I know transitioned the age I did and don't seem to do that. I even know several who are quite butch or androgynous in their presentation. I think perhaps because they are accepted as their gender and don't need to exaggerate things to make sure others get it right?

When I had my orchiectomy some years ago, I had no hot flashes from that and never had to go through what some others here have. I had gone through that beforehand. As a teenager one nurse did recognize that in my adolescence I wasn't producing enough testosterone. And I didn't want any either. So in a way I am very lucky. I just wish I could have gotten an orchiectomy earlier with my deformed undersized glands is all.
